The purpose of the E-Commerce Policy is to provide some guidelines for configuring systems to safely enable The Fake Chicken Company to conduct business over the Internet as an alternative service channel. The term “business” can apply to anything from providing information online to making payment for a service online and refers to The Fake Chicken Company both providing and using online services.

SCOPE

This policy affects all users of computer systems and networks owned or managed by The Fake Chicken Company.

2.1 Web and E-Commerce servers must not be used to store any critical The Fake Chicken Company business information. Direct links to data held in core systems can be implemented provided the appropriate security measures have been put in place to adequately protect the information from any potential breach....
